Heart of an Angel
The title of the Poem is “Heart of an Angel” which is a love poem that I wrote based on my own personal experiences.
It’s not just a love poem, but it’s also a story that I share with the reader and it’s all about just how much I appreciate them and how much they mean to me.
The narrator of the poem is speaking about their love for a person who they care deeply for. They are expressing their appreciation for that person and the things that they do for them.
The poet tries to find the perfect way to describe the love that they have for this person.
This poem was written with the intention of inspiring others and giving them the strength to move on from their own relationships.
Heart of an Angel
Soft, sweet whispers of candy breath.
Halo of golden curls worn like a crown.
Flying upon frail and tired wings;
Fallen angels shatter all around me.
A split-second image of you
Haunts me like all new beginnings.
A passionless soul
Left to wander this desert heart.
You left me when the rain fell.
Leaving my heart to shatter
At the first strike of lightning.
My wings are worn
And fold beneath this awesome weight.
How many more angels will fall from flight
At this storm cast tonight?
